I agree. Are you an Indiana fan DF? I am WAY impressed with what he did with his team after the "General" left. Took them to the sweet 16 for the first time in something like 8 years and pulled a David v. Goliath tonight to boot.

Oh, and even tho' Arizona lost, I'm real happy they made the sweet sixteen after losing 4 players last year. Look out for 2003!

i'm glad that Indiana won. I personally can't stand Bobby Knight. it's nice to see his successor doing well. sorta like a fuk you to Knight and his system of terrorizing players, fans, media, and UI students. screw him. go Mike Davis.

now that i think of it, he should be part of Bush's "axis of evil" too. Iran, Iraq, North Korea, and Bobby Knight. (like that SNL sketch...)

man, that game was SO awesome!!!!
i don't have any special grudge against duke, but i just generally dislike them b/c they're always the top team, and who wants to jump on that bandwagon? plus, with indiana being from the big ten, i would tend to root for them.

they did the same thing last night as they did against MSU in the big 10 tournament: throw the ball inside and score and pick up fouls in the paint. they are SO effective at doing that.

but at the end, i was literally on the edge of my seat....such an exciting conclusion. it was great.

then the kent st./pitt game after that was AWESOME too! i was rooting for kent b/c they were the underdog and their coach, stan heath, is one of tom izzo's former assistants, so i had to root for the spartan connection. besides, the pitt/cal game last week sucked so much that i didn't think either of those teams deserved to go on to the next round. so i was pumped when kent won. and an awesome overtime thriller.

i was about to kill CBS last night. for some insane reason, they decided that those of us in detroit really would want to watch UCLA/Missouri. i mean, not that that was a bad game, but i really wanted to see the Pitt/Kent game, and really there's more regional interest in Michigan for Kent than for either UCLA or Missouri. anyway, they finally cut back to Kent with about 2 mins left in regulation (at that point Missouri was starting to pull away). then, after the game went to overtime, they went BACK to Missouri/UCLA. i was PISSED -- i did not want to see a game that wasn't even super-close, in which there was no regional interest, when there was an overtime thriller going on. finally, they went back with about 3:45 left in overtime and stayed with Pitt/Kent the rest of the way, which made me happy.

and that, my friends, is the gist :heh:

general i hate duke because they get every call and are treated like they are the best. what duke players in the NBA have ever done ANYTHING. take arizona for example their coach lute olson has won a campionship gone to several final fours and yet he isnt in the hall of fame. why you ask, because he unlike coach k doesnt kiss the press and the ncaa's ass. blah blah blah i hate duke
