Just wonderin what is the history of this website? how was it formed? and just any good info would be appreciated

Well, one day i was sitting around and i was like "Wouldn't it be cool if there was a site that i could spend all my time on", and there it was. As we all know GotApex started the day I found it :D

if you wanna read some old and funny stuff, go back and find some of Apex and Leon's firt 5 or 10 posts on the forums. you'll get a nice picture of what this place was like when it started. :hihi: i'm too lazy to get the links, but you're a big boy, you can do it yourself.

Hey Hockey Mutt,

Sorry for all the good-natured ribbing, just kind of the nature of the board...

I think apex started around end of 1999 start of 2000...
I've been around since Feb 2000, but didn't really post much until last year. Basically I heard about this site from a friend who told me you could get good deals here. Back in the dot.com boom days, companies would bend over backwards to give you free stuff to generate traffic to their websites, and people would get all kinds of free T-shirs, coffee mugs, mouse pads, and 27" TVs (in one of the more famous deals). Heck, I (and many of the other old timers) knew their UPS guy by first name.

Since the economy went to crap, the deals aren't nearly as good here but we've all hung around in these boards cuz its a cool place to hang out.

So to sum up the history to the best of my knowledge...

1999/2000 Got|Apex? is launched (France surrenders)
2000 - Deals galore, free stuff everywhere
2001 - :passwird: learns to drive, Economy crumbles (coincidence?)
Summer/Fall 2001 - Penny and Twilight get banned
2002 - Nano gets a girlfriend, France surrenders yet again...

And that's basically it!
