Allright i am fairly competent qith computers, and have built systems before, but I have never had to deal with those stupid on/off switches. Usually they are included with barebones systems or cases. My sister broke the wire too close to the actual switch for it to be saved. How would i go about finding one of these. I tried grabbing one off an older computer but apparently they are from different generations in computers.
oh well reply with any help
thanks

For computers with ATX power supplies, the power switch is a momentary push button switch. On the older AT power supplies, the power switch was a pushbutton on/off switch. You can go to your local electronics store (Radio Shack, etc.) for a new switch. You may have to use a washer to make it fit the opening from your old switch.
