I am getting the Western Digital 120 GB 8mb buffer hard drive in a few days, WD1200JB. I was wondering how i should split it up to get the maximum effiecency out of the drive...like 2 60's or what? Thanks in advance!

At 120 GB. . . I'd leave it alone 'cause you wouldn't lose that much space and it'd be nicer to have one big partition IMHO. But if you must, probably in the 20GB/partition range or so.

How long does it take to defrag a 120GB hard drive?

If you have one big partition you will have to back up everything if you want to reformat and reinstall. I would say if you don't want that much fuss with partitions, make one for windows alone and then the other for your misc. stuff.
