There is some confusion as to whether you have to sign up for long distance. The confirmation email doesn't say anything about switching and they never even asked for a phone number. I think that you will probably get an email asking you to switch to get the card. We'll have to wait and see.

This deal is a fraud. Lifeline communications knows nothing of Catholic Freebies.com. There is no free phonecard. They will send you a card if you change your long distance carrier to Lifeline.

They never asked for my number, so I am not sure how my long distance would be changed.

The Church can't afford to pay for cards right now, all of their discretionary income is being spent paying off the children that trusted them.

They might even have to dip into their longterm investments, although I find that highly unlikely. Business is business. :(
