I will never use this type of postage again.
I thought that using them would be a good idea when sending the girl scout cookies back to family in IL. And when I was printing out postage for one package, I had a firewall issue (that we thought we had taken care of the night before -- the firewall didn't keep the settings) that wouldn't allow me to print off of our printer.
So, I attempted to get a refund ($9.xx) and this was their reply:
Dear Christina,
We have received your request for a Misprinted Postage credit; unfortunately, we are unable to credit your account because you did not submit physical proof of the misprint with your request. The US Postal Service requires that all Misprinted Postage credit requests be submitted with physical proof of the misprint. In accordance with that requirement, we will not be able to reimburse you as requested.
The sad thing is their software actually gives an error saying that the postage didn't print. No retry, nothing. What a rip!
AND on top of that, when I dropped the packages off at the post office that I had weighed and entered into the software, I had to pay MORE on a couple of the packages! I had actually over paid according to their software! ie: weighed package to be 9 lbs, I rounded up to 10 just to be sure.
