Jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. I never could get the idea behind that. :hmm:
:D
Awesome! Great shots man. That really is a good way to start spring break. I've been wanting to do that for a while. Did you take courses? Because I thought that you had to do Tandem jumps unless you were certified or something. Also, the cost is a little high, I think it was around $200 where I looked at. Still, this summer I might do it.

SPRING BREAK SUCKS.
Schools closed means little kids that need to be watched, which means that I have to be at work at 7 am for the whole week, OH WAIT, one day I don't have to be there until 10

The place we went - which is in Lake Elsinore CA, offers two types of jumps. One is tandem, and the other is called accelerated free fall. With the latter, they don't attach themselves to you - they just hang onto you so that you don't spin around too much; then once you pull your parachute, you're on your own.
At the place we went, tandem costs 170 the first time and AFF costs 260. We all did AFF course. I thought it'd be a nuisance to have them hanging on to you during the free fall but it was a lot harder to remain stable than I thought it would be so I'm glad they were there. It's definitely worth doing :)
I'm afraid I'm with Markel on this one....I'm glad you had fun though!

in other places in CA they have you go tandem for the first 3 times and then you have to take an adnaced calss. each jump gets cheaper and cheaper. $250, $200, $175... after about 10-15 jumps you can go all by yourself, but you just gotta pay like $10-$20/person for gas and pilot. so it is an investment, but i have some friends who only pay $10-$15 now and go almost evey weekend.
....or you can join the military and jump for free. my buddy is in the navy and he goes up about every month or so.
