SUCKAGE: Laker's fans (not all)

I go to school in LA, but I don't like the lakers. What's worse are the Lakers' fans we have here. I'm not saying everyone, but in general, they know nothing about basketball except A) Shaq is big and good B) Kobe is cute so he's the best ever (he's arguably a top 3 player, but being cute isn't the criteria for that). It was so easy to see this having been to a couple lakers game, most notably the one where they trounced charlotte by 40 and everyone won a chalupa (NSS i guess), but to hear the idiots there... Lakers fans should educate themselves instead of showing up at the Staples center just to stare at celebrities while asking questions like "why do the numbers on top of the backboard count downwards?". ITS SO ANNOYING.

Disclaimer: This is not to say all lakers' fans are ignorant, just SO DAMN MANY OF THEM.

Fakers are a good team. But I still don't like them. And I also live in LA.
I do, however, think that its nice to see people showing up for the games. Even if they aren't all BBALL fanatics. You don't have to know how much Shaq weighs or how tall Kobe is to enjoy basketball. Its for fun. If you got the money, go watch a game. Some people just take it too seriously and want everyone else to be at the same level. I think that's unnecessary.
And yes, I'm a huge bball fan. But I don't feel like everyone needs to be at my level when it comes to bball knowledge to enjoy it.

i love my lakers. i was raised a lakers fan. personally, i think you got the ignorant fans in every sport for every team. some teams even have them in the front office trading away all the good players (Goldenstate Warriors?). it might be more noticable with the lakers since you gotta be rich to buy a game ticket so the folks who watch every game and know their stuff probably can't afford to go to the game. and the folks that do go to the games don't "devote" as much time to being fans. whatever. i wouldn't take it so seriously if i were you...

i know my Laker B-ball. I watched the rise and fall(Lakers missed the playoffs only once during th 90's Bulls fans). I use to be the only Laker fan on sportstalk.com. Back when it was a free site and Portland was going to be the next dynasty(LOL).
Some fans only know Shaq and Kobe and are still Laker fans, nothing wrong with that. Some girls I know love Robert Horry for his demeanor and looks and have no idea how vital he was to our Championship runs. We are the defending back to back World Champion Los Angeles Lakers! Our fans show up late and leave early. Fans who don't know who Fisher is but know how much Shaq makes and the kind of Ferrari Kobe drives :D .
This is Los Angeles and we might not have best "fans" on the planet but we do have the best damn basketball team on the planet!
Oh yeah all you "visitors" understand, the Lakers are the one thing most of us Angelinos agree about. So we will talk a little trash and make fun of your team even if we have no idea what we're talking about.
Come join a winning team and you too can talk about how big shaq is and how pretty Kobes hair is. Come on im talking to all you disillusioned bulls, etc fans :P.

i'll agree... I'd rather stare at the ceiling, sit in traffic, beg for money or do any number of other things than watch/listen to Laker's Fans.... and if those stupid flags come back again.....:fal:
