For the sake of bella and everyone else, if you don't wanna use PM then crap, flame and bicker here. If anyone wants to bitch about anyone else, feel free to come here to do it. When ever a disagrement, such as the one below, springs up in a thread simply post the sentance "Let's take this to the Crapping Thread" and continue it here. Anyone who wants to follow and/or add to the argument can come here to do it also. It really is a different topic and I think it deserves its own thread.

no, I'm not going to continue with this. DF and I are both people that always have to get in the last word. That tends to go badly and would escalate this to something well beyond what it needs to be.
It also got way out of hand, considering the original post I made was not really directed at him, something I guess I thought he'd realize. He didn't, he took it personally, we both went off. Whatever, screw it, it just isn't that important. I really don't care to get into a tiff with people I actually like.
I like to try and head things off before someone gets a time out, or banned. I did everything I could to stop pennypinch from stepping into it. Sometimes that just makes everyone mad at me. Well, whatever, I don't really care. I don't point out I work here because of some veiled power or anything, I do it because people seem to question why I'd care. I don't run off to GAM, I never have, I don't call mama, and I don't require protection. The only time I've EVER gone to any of the GAMS is when I run into a porn post or a gay/religion bashing thread that needs watching.
I'd rather however, try to stop something before GAM needs to step in. That obviously didn't work out too well this time; I am not however going to stop doing that in the future.

I dunno if it's really appropriate to call me a n00b, I was a lurker here for quite a while before I started posting consistantly. Notice I've been registered since Aug 2001, which is several months longer than CPUGeek has been around and you prolly wouldn't call him a n00b, would you? But if you're going strictly by post count then you might have a point. I think it's kinda a grey area.
Going on to our next topic, it wasn't meant to be an official thread. I just wanted to make the point that it's a little rude for people to bicker back and forth in the middle of a somewhat serious thread. (see this thread (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41830)) Additionally, it's mostly been you "veterans" who've turned it into a free-for-all "up your post count" thread. Makes one wonder how y'all got that many posts to begin with, eh?

No offense taken Napoleon. I wasn't really serious anyways just adding to the theme of the thread. You're no longer a n00b in my book.
As far as Got Apex "veterans" are concerned, I think we've established that post count isn't as significant as you may think. There are plenty of postcount monkeys(not you cornmonkey) who just post whatever random thought comes into their coconuts. This of course is acceptable, but although it adds to their postcount it doesn't add to their credibility.
I was beggining to lose faith in these forums in the last couple of months. A few people have created threads relating their frustration with the level of posting lately as well. The forums seemed to lack their depth of conversation that the GA of old used to. It seemed as if the only threads that were being posted or had any truly intellectual response were those that were stories of some sort of atrocious news article from around the world. Although that is ok it's kind of a bummer when that's the only type topics that you discuss.
However recently I have witnessed a sort of shift back to the old GA. The thread "Reparations of Slavery" was for the most part a pretty enlightening discussion by all. I enjoyed reading all points of views and I thought that it was positive reinforcement for this community. These are the type of discussions that make GA an enjoyable experience for me, and as long as they exist I will keep coming back.
Not to say that I don't like the lighthearted thread posting as well. That "Redneck Neighbor" thread by Kevster was absolutely hysterical. Mojo also manages to find the most random stories from around the web, which I really enjoy as well. These types of threads create a type of balance of information which I think is unmatched on the web. Keep up the good work.
So I guess what I'm saying is that I'm happy to be here, and happy to make all your acquaintance. I kinda wish a few of the postmonkeys would settle down a bit and go outside once in a while, but it's a free forum. I can deal with it as long as the rest of the board remains a great place for discussion.
But isn't this a crapping thread? Ok then...
