well i bought an audiovox maestro at compusa over the weekend:

now, i'm looking for a way to get it connected to the interweb...primarily for mail retrieval...i don't plan on doing alot of web browsing from it...i'll save that for the office. anyway, right now i see two options...bluetooth or a cf card/cable to my cell phone. which brings me to my main question. i'm gonna grab a new cell phone/provider next month...and i'm thinking about going with verizon, and getting a motorola 270c:

link (http://commerce.motorola.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=239603&prmenbr=126&phone_cgrfnbr=1&zipcode=)

it's bluetooth capable with an adapter ($110), which is one of the main reasons i selected it. does anyone here currently use the phone? any pros/cons? i currently have a nokia 8260 and no way to connect it to my PocketPC...therefore the hunt for a new phone.

anyway, with the 270, my options are a cable/cf card:

for $100....OR, the super geeky way to do things:

bluetooth card (http://www.pcnation.com/asp/details.asp?item=578946)

now, i know the advantages of bluetooth...while at home, i can have full network access, future devices, etc...

what would you do? first off, i need to know if the 270c is a decent phone. second, cable or bluetooth? third, am i being spoiled toy happy geek?

I wasn't too sure on all the details myself but if i do decide to do it I'd use my friends Prodigy account. If i had the money i'd just get the GSM sleeve for the ipaq.

im looking to get the ericsson t68 as well. ive seen it for a while, but i cant find a calling plan to fit my needs. it looks like an awesome phone but it was just released a few days, maybe a week ago. ive seen it at at&t stores around the chicago land area going for about 200 with contract. availibility will also depend on how much gsm has been implemented in your area. since youre in dc, im guessing (i dont know) that many people from europe and asia will need gsm service and it should be pretty established. i know chicago isnt the greatest city for technology, but gsm is coming along pretty nicely.

you might want to check these out:
