although, i think in general its a fallacy. at least most of the cops I know (and I know a lot of em) don't eat donuts.

I love how someone put their website name on that pic as if they took it or it was their property. That pic has been floating around forever and I seriously doubt GeeTrish.com is the originator.

well, i want to say it's a fallacy, but EVERYtime i go into a donut shop there are police or CHP in there. so from personal experience i gotta say it's true, at least around here it is...

Doughnut trail leads cops to thief
March 29, 2002 Posted: 3:13 AM EST (0813 GMT)
SLIDELL, Louisiana (Reuters) -- Two people left a 15-mile-long- trail of doughnuts after they took a Krispy Kreme truck from a parking lot and fled, police said Thursday.
The truck was parked at a convenience store with its rear doors open and engine running while a deliveryman carried doughnuts inside, said Slidell police spokesman Rob Callahan.
Two suspects hopped in the truck and sped off to the nearby town of Lacombe, with doughnuts spilling out along the way, he said.
They abandoned the truck when they were spotted by police responding to reports of a dangerous driver who was losing his doughnuts. Passenger Rose Houk, 31, was captured, but the driver, whose name was not released, ran away.
Houk told police they had been smoking crack cocaine for several hours before the incident, which occurred Wednesday, said Callahan.
Their motive for taking the Krispy Kreme truck was unclear.
"I don't know if it was a need for transportation or if they just had the munchies," he said.

take it easy there. this is the "off topic" forum which usually means that things are going to go waaaaaaay off of the original topic. i know you're new here, so you might wanna just get used to this fact, because unfortunately, it's not likely to change. carry on...

Saying cops like doughnuts is nearly as insulting as saying african americans like watermelon. Next thing you're gonna see is a redneck salivating over BBQ.

In west L.A. a lot of LAPD officers eat at Pepe's Junior Galley - it's a coffee shop attached to a bowling alley on Lincoln Blvd. At any one time you can see at least 3-5 squad cars and motorcycles outside. About 7 years ago someone actually tried to hold up the place (he apparently came in through the Bowling Alley side where the cops don't park their cars). Needless to say, it was a pretty short robbery since there were about 10 on/off duty cops in there.
