Just curious - I have a manual Accord and I was wondering what the average lifetime of a clutch is (I usually let the tranny guys do it according to the book).
Apex? What's the answer?

i would think it would largely depend on your driving habits. Do you drive like a maniac, or nice and calm? :)

I have my moments but I tend to drive nice - most of my mileage these days is just street driving to/from work (about 4 miles each way). So a better question would be what average mileage would I expect out of a clutch for a Honda Accord?

You should get 75-100k out of a clutch...

Considering your drive/commute and driving style (grandpa  ) and that it is a Honda, you should get at least what Blu said probably closer to 150k. Yeah, you're in So. Cal. but you don't have a typical So. Cal. commute. That saves your sanity as well as your clutch. As I'm sure you remember, the old clutch litmus test is how far you need to push it in before it catches. If it needs to go all the way to the floorboard then beware.
Clutch should be fine for a lot longer. Now that thing down the street...It's called a carwash! :P

i have the same car as Hapoo, and my clutch was feeling just a little weak, and since i auto-X my car, i wanted the max grip from it, so i replaced it early. I coulda milked another 20k outta it for sure.
oh yeah, i replaced it at $135kmi, and really, i could just replaced the T/O bearing and kept it going another 40K.
