when I fried my cpu I think is screwed up my bios chip. I reflashed it, but I got like 4 bad spots (couldn't write to) on the bios. I can boot the computer but it takes forever because it keeps coming up with the bootblock (a part of the bios that doesn't get flashed and just has support for the floppy so you can boot SOMETHING) and I have to reset like 30 time before it finally boots normally.

Well, I am going to order a new pre-flashed bios from badflash.com and I need to tell them the board version. I think there is only 1.0 and 1.3 and I know I don't have 1.3, but I want to make sure in case I am wrong on there only being 2 versions.

According to Paul's Unofficial ABIT KT7 FAQ (http://www.viahardware.com/faq/kt7/kt7faq.htm) (a site I certainly hope that you are familiar with if you have the KT7A, and if not, you need to be):
The motherboard version can be identified by the bar coded sticker near the ISA slot.

I just popped my case open and looked. Sure enough, the sticker is there, mounted sideways along the card slots. Beneath the bars there's a bunch of numbers, followed by "Version 1.0" (in my case).

Hmm.. ya, I saw that to, but I have the barcode and a bunch of numbers but now version number. I am pretty sure it is 1.0, though.

And, yes.. I know about Pauls FAQ. ;) I guess I didn't notice it there, but I did see to look under the ISA somewhere else, but I didn't see it there so I though that was wrong.
