I know what you mean -
I just got back from the UK & it took a few days to get back into the swing of things. Just make sure you don't go to bed early tonight!

Jet lag must suck. I have never gotten it for some reason. I think it must just be good genes or something.
If I remember correctly the easiest way to get over it is that you stay up late the night before you leave (to normal time where you are arriving) you will reset your biological clock. There is also some vitamins that you can take which help. Sorry I cant remember exactly but as I said,I never suffer from true jetlag.

Unless you took an evening flight from Europe, you shouldn't be suffering from jet lag. I've always taken morning flights from there, and arrived with just the perfect amount of time to unpack, eat dinner, shower, unwind, and sleep at my usual time.
One tip to avert jet lag is to NOT SLEEP! :heh: Seriously, on your first night back, chug cola, tea, and coffee so you can stay awake long enough to fall sleep at your regular time.

The problem is that I DID fall asleep on the plane. It was an 11 hour flight from Zurich to Atlanta and 5 hours from Atlanta to LA.

What time have you been sleeping since you've gotten back? If it's earlier than usual (say, 7pm :P), then have a couple of Mountain Dew's and try to stay up a few more hours.

I was trying to stay up later. I was already starting to fall asleep at 3:30PM. I think I'll need to get some triple shot espressos to stay up.

Dude, the only way to combat jetlag is to travel alot. After a while, you learn to adjust on the fly. I can now adjust up to +8 or -8 in the span of one day.

It was easy to adjust to European time. I adjusted the same day. It's adjusting back that's been giving me trouble... But hey... It's almost 10 and I'm still up. That's a good sign.

Jet lag sucks. I use it for an excuse for months as to why I need to go home early from school and take a nap. :D Pays to travel.
