It's not that
It's when I have my windows open, their music is blaring with their windows open. Usually you have to wait like 30 minutes before security comes around and tells them to shut the hell up.

Well then, if its only when the windows are open, then I guess that isnt too bad. From what you just said, security usually has them knock it off relatively quickly, so I take it that if you close your windows it shouldnt be too much of a problem. I still say that you should go to war, thats the solution for everything.

Heh, I like ufcrusher's idea. I think I'm in a worse situation than you. My neighbors blast music AT NIGHT. They yell, they scream, and play games at night. Blast some loud crap! Through the walls, on occasion, I'm still able to make out what the songs are. Orgy - Blue Monday, N Sync - Bye Bye Bye, and some others. I used to play try and play war with them, I'd blast the music and leave my room, so I wouldn't have to listen. But my method didn't work, considering my sub is on the ground, and they're above me, their sub is on the ground. So I resorted to calling security. Sometimes I hear the music blasting but a few seconds later, it lowers. I don't even know if security actually ever made it up there, but *shrug* I feel your pain!

i hate my upstairs neighbors as well.

they are the biggest group of *******s i've ever met...

for example, today, i was coming in at the same time as one of them, and we were both checking our mail, so i said hello. and then the bitchy girl just unlocks the door and walks away. no hi, nothing. i hate her. and its really funny b/c our landlord is always telling us how nice they are, when in fact they are completely terrible.

and the major thing that proves how stupid they really are is dealing w/ garbage.
we live in a two apt brownstone, and i live on the bottom two floors. my bedroom is on the ground level in the front of the apartment, and so the windows look out to the street & a small patio (i guess that is what you would call it,) where the garbage cans are located. well, we have WAY too many garbage cans, and they consistantly put thier trash NEXT to the can, not in it. and they don't know how to recycle. they are complete morons! i wrote "plastic, glass and cans" on a trash bin so we can recycle like normal people, and they decide to throw all their trash in it. they put boxes BESIDE the can labeled PAPER. and then, they never take the cans out on garbage night or put them back in the morning!

i hate them.

i HATE my downstairs neighbors.

i live in a fairly large apartment complex (about 4000 units). i don't know any of my neighbors. i hardly know what any of them look like.

but the bastards who live below me seem to think that they need to blast their stereo system at crazy volumes at all times of the day or night. most of the time, it's not a problem, but then they'll get home from work and decide they need some music. or they'll be having a party and you can hear people talking loudly and the bass will be shaking stuff in my kitchen. it sucks.

but i feel like there's not too much that i can do about it. i don't really want to get into a war with them (although once i get my 250 watt sub hooked up to my system, i don't think it would even be a competition. first of all, i don't think they're smart enough to withdraw from a war. second, i have neighbors above me and on every side of me. i don't want to annoy them in the same way that i'm being annoyed just to try to get back.

i go tell them to turn it down if it's late (after midnight) and it's effecting someone's sleeping. (it doesn't bother me, but some "houseguests" find it impossible to sleep through). but i don't want to complain too much or get them in too much trouble with management, because i'm not home that much and i am uncomfortable with the security of my house and car if they decide they are pissed off with me.

so for now, i'll just continue hating them and tell them to shut up when it gets too bad.

My neighbors travel nearly every weekend, but they leave their vehicle with the car alarm here. That darn thing is so sensitive that the wind can set it off. All night long we get to hear the alarm for a full 2 minutes until it resets itself.

my ****ing neighbors were in my freaking apartment today!!! i have no idea how they got the key, but they CAME IN WITHOUT PERMISSION!!

i just found out a little while ago, because my roomate was home when they came in (and of course he didn't call our landlord, because he leaves that up to us because he is a lazy **** as well.) anyway, they needed access to the back yard to let verizon check their phone line, and the only way they can get in is through our apartment. so somehow, one of them got keys to our apartment, and let themselves and the verizon guy in... then had the audacity to leave the verizon guy in the apartment alone!!!!

i'm furious!!!!! WTF?? if i didn't like my landlord, i would totally sue his ass!!!! i could claim that **** is missing, and that who knows how long they've had a key for?? and i have no idea how they could have gotten a key, because my landlord doesn't even have a key to our apartment. he asked us to make him a copy because he gave us the only keys he had when we moved in, and nobody that i know of has done it so far.

i really hate the upstairs neighbors even more!!!!

oh, i think i might just have to disconnect thier phone next week, after i get the locks changed. cause the phone box is under our deck, and i know how to make the wires somehow become unconnected
