Running XP Pro North America version.
I want to install Japanese Bookshelf and other references
software that I used to use under W2kPro (English). I remember I
have read the Winxp Pro whitepaper that XP provides the same
functionality as W2kpro does.

But somehow I just cannt figure how to change the Regional
Settings to Japan. I assusme I have to this first b4 installing
those Japanese apps. Please advise on how to change the Regional
Settings to Japan. Thank you.

Thanks for your replies.
I just sorted it out:)

Go to Control Panel > Regionala nd Language Settings > Regional Options. Under Standards and formats, change to Japanese. There is a Customize button next the dropdown menu. I did not want to Currency and Date in Japanese format, so I customize them in US format.

Changing to Japanese under Language for non-Unicode programs did not seem important. Beucause I was able the installer menu of my Japanese version MS Bookshelf in Japanese before I did change that. Yes, I change it to Japanese.
