This movie is hilarious. I would suggest watching all the other View Askew production before this one, as all the inside jokes will be even funnier. And the deleted scenes, all 50 of them, are hilarious as well, my friend and I have watched the movie about 30-40 times and laugh every time!

I was so disappointed by Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back . . . Kevin Smith really mailed that one in. It had none of the dialogue that Smith is known for because . . . well . . . Jay is just an idiot incapable of holding a decent conversation, and Silent Bob is . . . well . . . silent! Jay can only be taken in small doses and served as a decent diversion during the other movies, but I just got sick of him in this movie! And all the cameos were just self-serving . . . plus, there was no plot worth mentioning . . . it seems like Kevin Smith just asked himself the question, "How can I fit as many old characters and Hollywood friends of mine into this film as possible?" . . . his answer was this story . . .

the deleted sceen with the hookers was the funniest, I love "Bob's" acting, all the hand movement is great

on an objective POV, the movie sucked.

but since im a fan of "the new jersey trilogy", i liked it!:D

its worthless junk if you saw it first without seeing all the other 4 movies (clerks, mallrats, chasing amy, and dogma) - too many inferences from the former movies to make it stand on its own.

hopefully the DVD gets real cheap soon, so i can own it.;)

I liked the movie... Saw Clerks (Didn't like it), saw Chasing Amy (Liked it), saw Dogma (loved it) saw Jay&silent Bob (loved it)

and the collector's dvd is 20 bux at B&M BB... as of last week when i bought it, it was :)

Hmmm, I seem to remember a thread about this movie when it first came out!!!! But its good enough that I could care less. Go out and buy it, dont just see it. If you havent seen Clerks, Chasing Amy, or Dogma buy them too, watch them first, and then see it. Worth every penny. Every Penny.

Come on I got mine for $16.99 at Circuit City when it was new, or currently at $17.99 at Costco. The others are all on sale at Best Buy.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is the worst Kevin Smith flick yet. Will Ferrel provided a lot of funny moments, but it wasn't enough to support a weak ass script.

Believe me I'm not anti-KS. Clerks is one of my all time favorite movies, and I believe I have seen almost all of his movies. This movie to me just seemed like KS was selling out for the quick cash.

Just my opinion of course.

Unfortunately, I think the poo-pooers have a point. There wasn't any of the ridiculous semi-intelectual spout offs that were so great in his past movies. I think that's probably the most redeeming quality of all his films.

That said though, if you take this film as something different than his normal stuff, as a big ol' flip off to Miramax and Hollywood, and yeah, as a stroke to his ego, it's a goodin. I really got a kick out of all those actors getting busted on constantly in the dialogue.
