Got | Apex cs? read...

Name is B|itz, new guy at Apex, so wanted to ask a question...

Who is up for a Counter-Strike tournament? I know a quake tourney is trying to be set up, but I know we can get CS up and runing soon if not sooner than quake. Just want to take a show of hands on who is interested. Have been chatin with a few people, and if things turn out, I would like to have the CS tourney in perhaps a few weeks.

I will release more info if we have enough players, currently thinking of a 5/10 man team ladder match? Don't know, but first...who wants in?

Wow no one wants to play a CS tourney?...

You guys better respond, or I guess quake 3 might be the game we play =p.

If any of you are interested, I know once we have time to organize it, we will hold both tourneys if enough people sign up. This is a chance to meet all the game reviewers who work on your beloved game section, and to compete against them :P what could be better than that...

Cool, nice to hear more people are interested. I just got my computer yesterday, so want to set up old one as a temp server. I will give you guys more info later on once we get it :P

Currently, I do not know.

It does not seem as though we have enough people interested. Either they begin to post in here that they would like to participate, or we post pone for a little bit. Also, don't quote me on this, but I heard a rummor of 1.4 going public this week from the beta community.

I would like to see if anyone has servers up already, if not, I could most likely get one. Remember guys you can play cs 1.4 on steam at www.steampowered.com. Although it is in beta stages, it does let you play the new update on ANY computer you want! Thats right, I recently purchased a new computer, and installed the steam program only. I was able to play CS without having to install the game and download the updates. Pretty cool? Well be forwarned, hackers are poping up here and there.

Well, it does not look like many want to do the tourney, but we all can get started practicing for when it does come up! Any of you guys download steam yet? If not get it now!

The new word being passed around is 1.4 comes out next week, they did change ALOT of stuff, so might as well get used to the new stuff right now. They mainly changed: the cross hair size (bigger on some guns now), jumping (very hard to bunny hop), new 1st person view (can see if someone has aimbot), etc. Pretty nifty stuff, so check it out. I play under the name of either [cR4zY-m0d3]-pAiN, or [g0t|Ap3x]-B|itz.

Let's all start playing on the ikeo servers, just refresh with few filters on and you'll find it. It is called server.ikeo.com cs1 (or cs2). Just look out for me and we will play a game or two. I know the admins pretty well there now, so I bet we could ask if we could use those servers for tourneys down the road. I will probably be on in two hours, have to study for a little bit. Will see you all on there around 8:00 pm pacific let's say.
