Just got a DVD player and I am looking to start a DVD collection. Does anyone know of any good clubs (i.e. columbia house?) to join to get a lot of DVD at discounts?
Thanks in advance

i wouldn't join a dvd club, I checked out columbia house. You can get the dvd's cheaper if you order online with coupons.

Netflix is a good place to rent from.. Free Month Trial too, I think Ugly posted a link down below.
I like to use Dvdpricesearch.com to buy dvd's though.. its a good price comparison site, with a dvd deals page..

Try www.half.com (http://www.half.com) there are a bunch of $5.00 off coupons and they are stackable up to $25 off of $50 and here is one more code for another $5.00 off it is "companysleuth" 5 are listed on the fight divx page at: http://www.fightdivx.com/coupons.htm#half .
And for your first order you can get free shipping if you buy more than 3, they also sell some used cd's for an average price of $2.50-$3.00.
Pretty good deal...
You can get DVDs for cheap if you buy them off me. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/wink.gif I'm looking to get rid of Sleepy Hollow, Three Kings, and South Park. All have been previously viewed. Interested?

Actually, I found some pretty good info on the Columbia House DVD club. Don't listen to the Naysayers. This thread from DVDTalk spells it out plainly. Hope it helps.

If you want new DVDs (and don't have coupons) cduniverse.com is usually always the cheapest place since all DVDs are 40% and shipping is usually about $2/dvd. Also, if you do a search I think there is a $5 off $20 coupon.

Are you willing to give me $35 for both? I'll cover cost of shipping and insurance.

Nah man...that price is way too low. I can get at like $15-19 a piece for them on eBay. But if you want to trade something for them, I may be interested. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Humpy, I agree with spigidygak. Check some of the deals sites first. The fightdivx site has two pages I check daily... their dvd deals page and their coupons page.

I don't know where they got the name but the site rocks.

desperado and el meriachi double dvd set is 12.99 at best buy.
also, blockbuster sells previously owned dvds at a good price (i.e. bowfinger for 8.99, 3 kings for 12.99)
