We got a house! (Again, rent, not buy) Now with pictures!

OMG! We looked in the paper today and saw an ad for a house, called, went and looked, decided tonight, called, and we got the house!

It's 3 bedrooms, 1 3/4 baths, living room, family room, AWESOME wood kitchen cabinets, fenced backyard, great area (although only 1/2 block from the high school, so football games next fall will be LOUUUUUUUUDDDDDD. lol).

You walk in, and in front & to the right of you is the main living room. To the left & up is the kitchen that has a dishwasher, plenty of counter space and GORGEOUS cabinets. The dining area is just to the left of the entry and further to the left is the family room. If you go through the kitchen, you'll get to the utility room, which is where the door to the backyard is, and the bathroom with a toilet, sink & shower is off the utility room.

If you come in the front door and walk straight, you'll go down the hall. Two bedrooms are off to the right and one bedroom & the bigger bathroom with toilet, sink & bathtub.

Anyway, I'm SOOOOO excited! We are supposed to meet tomorrow and pay the deposit. I don't know if we'll get the keys then or wait until we pay the 1st month's rent in May. :D

Yes!! It is!! There isn't quite as much room, but there was way more roomthan we needed in the other one and there is still plenty of room in this one! :D

'Cause in renting... you are payin' the "other man's" mortagage and you don't end up with nothing to show for it... (especially if the rent you are paying exceeds the mortgage payment for a like sized house).

But DF, in Jenny's defense, I think she said she was only planning to stay there a year or so, in which case buying doesn't make sense. Generally I think 3 yrs is about the cutoff rule where ya wanna buy :)

Yep, absolutely right. :) We only want to be here for another year, to let Josh finish preschool and Scott get another year of experience under his belt. If something happens and we are going to be here for more than that, we may look into making an offer on the house.

This house is apparently an older man's. His son is who our landlord is. He had to put his father into a rest home, so the income from renting it is supplementing their income to help pay for the rest home. :( :)

Congrats Jenny, I may have to start looking myself. I am sharing a place with a roomate...we haven't been getting along too well and he said he might split. So it goes I say, a house might be in the cards if I can get a couple more roomies.
