View Full Version : is it possible to hook computer to stereo for audio?

I have a computer but don't have any speakers for it so i was wondering if it is at all possible to hook up the audio line from my computer to my headphone jack on my stereo boom box? thanks.

you can in your boom box has an audio input or a mic input. depending on the stereo, the mic in might not work if the tape isnt recording.

Get an audio cable splitter. Then take the cable from your comp and run it to the reciever and plu it into the compact disc input. Voila, you have a stereo playing computer.

Boombox = no
receiver = Yes and there are many ways...

Optical, Digital Coax, RCA type left and right channel seperate into the 6channel inputs (or all the channels for surround). Or you can just hook a Mini plug to RCA cable into any available audio in on your receiver as was mentioned before.
