I have some drives that are not recognized in any computors bios, they have all thier jumper, etc... settings set corectly. Does anyone know of any programs that can recognize drives in dos that are conected but are not detected. I figure if i can get some free drives out of this method it would be worth it. As i see it if this method works all i would need to do is upgrade its firmware and low level format the drive and it will work.

Im trying to fix: an afreey dvd-rom drive, model no: DD-4010E
an western digital 20gb HD model no: WMA7H2957710
an seagate 40gb HD model no: ST340823A

Have any of you ever had success fixing drives that are no longer recognized by the bios ? How ? I think im on the right track if its possible, right ?

And one more thing, do you think the companys would RMA these drives for me, i have recetes for the afreey, and western digital drives but they are a little over a year old. Iv tried to contact afreey but they dont reply to my hundreds of emails, lol. Any advice ?
