I'm really lazy, so I just slowly update my resume over the years. I submit it around to look for a job, and I don't get anything.

Now, my friend, who is also a hiring manager tells me I should "fine tune" my application. So, I finally got around to looking at it.

OMG! It's a horrible mess. It's almost like I haven't updated it in 3 or so years! (Which is half-true, since I only update individual areas (like jobs, education, address, etc) So, I had to literally redo my entire resume. No wonder I can't get a job worth crap. :(

Now, anyone wanna give me a job?

My resume is on my website :P

Maybe I'm way off on this point - but you're looking for a business management position... Do you really think it's wise to use the "psychokid" domain on your resume?

If I were you I'd spend $15 and get something a little more "palatable" to the people doing the hiring. Maybe something like "victorisanhonorablepersonwhowillworkhardandnotbeaslacker.com".

.com".

:stupid: You want to present yourself as professional and "www.psychokid.com" would raise a few red flags if I looked over the resume.

Also, you may want to consider rewording your experience to include measurable accomplishements. e.g. instead of "cost analysis for capital equipment" say something like "performed cost analysis for capital equipment resulting in $100K of capital savings" or something like that.

My resume points to a different address :) Psychokid.com is the one I keep on my main website.

Since you guys were picky about the name, what did you guys think about the site? it was redesigned as of recent. Also check out http://psychokid.com/store ! Yes it's sort of spam/refferal, but I have cool logowear of images I took! I'm almost like a freakin' photographer!

I thought your site was very cool. I noticed that right away. I like the "minimalist" not-too-busy look. I think I'll copy it! :)

Definitely not what I expected from the "psychokid.com" domain...

Hey, I read resumes and hire people from time to time - and yeah I am picky. I was just trying to give you some advice. You know a couple of years ago we would hire just about anyone that had a pulse because the economy was booming, but now, I get 12-20 resumes for a clerical postion. The first thing I do is go thru it with a highlighter to find reasons NOT to interview you so I don't have to invest the time researching your background, contacting you, etc...

I'm not sure if you already have connections for a job, but if you are looking to find a job strictly thru submitting resume's I was just trying to give some perspective when the person hiring you has 20-30 resume's to go thru :)

No. My printed resume points to a different address. So, the one i hand to people at job fairs or submit online to companies are for a different address. The one you see on psychokid.com is for psychokid.com

I wish I can do photography like that for everyday work. But, Until I am somehow magically "discovered" to do work for like a newspaper or magazine, it's just a hobby of mine. :P
