Will one of the projectors on the deals page work as an HDTV?

I don't think they display a high enough resolution. Also you would still need a hdtv receiver for the signal.

They'll both work for HDTV but the XGA native one will definitely be better. You'll need a HDTV tuner, like most HDTV capable TV's.

Neither will be able to fully resolve 1080i, but then again, neither does your average rear projection TV with 7" CRT tubes (which are most of the ones under $7000 retail).

With a reasonably good screen and a nice darkened room, you'll get a better picture than the vast majority of HDTV sets out there.

I thought about it all day at work today, and I realized that at this point, if I'm going to spend $1900 on myself, it'll be on a K04 kit (or go toward a T-28) kit for my car. :P

But truly a great find, Apex... as ususal. I mentioned it to a few people who've never been here before... they were quite impressed.
