Anyone have any suggestions?

I bought 2 things from cyberrebate.com, and only one shipped since the other was out of stock. But, they still charged me the total amount of both things, totalling $139.98!!!

The thing is that cyberrebate.com is closed right now due to too much demand.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get credit back? This really kind of sucks...

This happened to me also. I simply emailed them and they credited back the proper amount.

Thanks dealseer

Their site is down for an undetermined amount of time so I can;t get an e-mail addy. Do you have the proper e-mail account? I would really appreciate it.

I used [email protected]

This is strange, their site being down like that. What's the deal?

when I've ordered from other sites, if they are out of stock/back ordered they have never charged my credit card.

(I have seen it on the slip with my order listed as out of stock but they didn't charge me)

Most sites like buy.com, etc., would only charge your card if/when the order is shipped

Call up your credit card company and dispute the charge. I'm sure they'll take care of it for you.

I had the same thing happen to me back in Nov. '99. I explained it to Apex and CyberR's Ceo called me the next day but it still took about 3 months to get the credit back. My credit card issued me a temp credit while I disputed it. Take advantage of your credit card to help you.

Thanks for the help all.

I will probably just call my cc compnay and e-mail cyberrebate.

Anyone heard anything about what is going n there?

The same thing happened to me. I emailed CyberR explaining the missing item. God...they took 2 weeks to reply my mail..seems that they are really busy. Anyway after 4/5 mails i received a mail from them saying that they r going to refund the money. And the refund to my cc took another 3 weeks. So as u have chosen cyberrebate be prepared for the delay whether it is mail-in-rebate or the refund.
Anyway i think this is not a very serious problem except for the time.
Bye best of luc

I am not too impressed with them. When I go to their site, they charge double or triple what the item is worth, and then they give you a pretty decent rebate. With some of the dotcoms being pretty shaky right now, I wouldn't want to wait for an extended period of time to get a rebate from them.

I don't get it, their site appears to be up to me?

I too had and order that was missing an item. I had no problem getting my credit card refunded, but they are quite slow to answer email. I have never had any problem with getting refunded though.

Egghead/onsale and Buy have both charged me for backordered merchandise when I placed my order, not when it was shipped.

I used to work at an Internet company where a lot of stolen credit cards were being used. Simply call your credit card company and tell them you didn't order that/didn't get it and they'll take care of the rest for you.

Ditto, Ugly.

If your CC won't help, cancell the card because there are plenty out there that will help.
