I'm determined to learn stuff here dangit and you guys need to enlighten me.

1. Explain to me the how having a 133fsb ties into what mhz your cpu is. (just the basics) Something about multiplying numbers to get what mhz you have.

2. Explain to me why upping the fsb will increase you MHZ... and since the ram is beig OCed then what does that have to do w/ the MHZ increasing on a cpu. (basics please)

3. Explain to me what voltage stuff does.

4. What is the stock voltage of a 1.4 T-bird

5. What should I up the voltage to on a 1.4 T-bird to safely OC it. (running 256mb pc2100 cl2.5 crucial ram)

6. Having an ASUS A7M motherboard, does anyone know how I even up the voltage?

7. Something about upping the ram voltage only because if you mess w/ the voltage.. your pci slots get affected too?

8. If I've reached the peak of upping my FSB to 143(stable) having my computer any cooler wouldn't allow me to up the fsb anymore right?

20. Finally, where do I get this "fantasy" ram. Man.. w/ the questions I have.... Anandtech or someone should do an article/benchmark/review on the types of DDR ram on a kt333 chipset. hint hint Darth...hehe

Kinda tired of telling people that pc2700 is faster than pc2100 when I just say that because you guys do.. when i have NO clue why.

your FSB on most proc's if your easily changed variable, with 133fsb you can take a proc. like a duron that is stock at 100fsb and overclock it to 133 resulting in a 330mhz increase in speed if its a 1ghz stock.

uping the voltage more or less adds stability to your system.

actually having a stick of 512 can hinder OC proformance, its just a luck issue.

11. What is the basic difference between cl 2.5 ram and cl 2.0 ram?

speed, 2.0 is faster, 2.5 allows you to oc higher.

12. Is the price difference worth paying for from pc2100 cl2.5 vs. cl2? [/]

in most cases no. usually you can clock rated 2.5 ram at 2.0 for fairly high fsb settings.

well it is, only if 600mb/s is almost the same, pc2100= 2100mb/s 2700=2700mb/s

yes.

its less then 10$ more then generic 2100.

ddr rated at 3200mb/s

your proformance will be base on how high the slower stick can go.

pc2700 @cl2 is only $10 more than pc2100 @cl2.5?

ocz, mushkin, generic.... what specs should I get though.. on the ram.

what's the best performning ram for the price... like the actual specs

my corsair xms 2700c2 ram came w/ sinks on it. i am trying to get it to 333mhz stable at cas 2 before the 15 day return policy is up(1.7 doesnt want to go past 2 ghz).
from everything ive read corsair is still the best ram on the market. i read an article involving store bought ocz ram and it couldnt hang with the store bought corsair. many times ram is sent from the company for reviews and ocz always runs with corsair in those though. Either of those should suffice and samsung supplies alot of the chips both use.

Alrighty... I changed my latency from 2.5T to 2T. I think I did what I think I was supposed to do.

Now what do I do?

How do I mess w/ votage stuff to overclock my cpu even more? I can't up the FSB anymore w/ out it being stable...

Enlighten me!!

I hear something about the pencil trick w/ the T-birds. Is it worth doing? Is it easy to do? How the heck do I do it?

SO if I do the pencil trick.. then I can UP my FSB to 150 easy? I know that after 143 it get's kinda funny.
