Going to be migrating away from SDRAM soon...is RDRAM or DDR the way to go? Also...do most mobos using RDRAM come bundled with CRIMMS?

Rambus is the way to go with P4...

I think DDR is making a huge mistake by going dual channel. "Lets take the thing people hated most about RDRAM and make it our feature!"

DDR has a great advantage over RDRAm. It's not bandwidth though...it's latency. It takes less time for a call to go through the memory controller than RDRAm based systems. RDRAm makes up for this by processing the info faster. in real world performance tests like photoshop, games etc it's real close. SiSoftSandra and 3dmark etc are more reliant on bandwidth than real apps.

Yeah...I think Nvidia will pioneer DDR400 which is showed off at a comp show not too long ago, and after that who knows? It's up to Samsung and Hynx and the other big memory players for that.
