i had some adidas running shoes for awhile, but those suck. i got these new ones today and they're great! perfect for the upcoming revlon run/walk i'm doing. it was either these, asics (sp?) or nikes. the nikes sucked the most out of the three. w00t. i now believe people when they say new balances are like the ferraris of shoes.

New Balance! :thumb: NB is great. I like Adidas a lot too though. Nike is CRAP and a half :)

New Balance is the only shoe that I wear anymore. I had a pair of Adidas running shoes but I think they fit my feet wrong and I ended up with shin splints. Now I have the New Balance 804 All-Terrain and simply love 'em. :)

speaking of shoes, does anyone know if the brand "simple" stills makes stuff? i liked their stuff back in like junior high.

I don't know what you guys are talking about when you say "Nike is crap." I've played basketball for as long as I can remember and have used many different brands of shoes. Nike is arguably, one of the best shoe makers in terms of comfort and long term wear. They do make duds just cause they're all factory produced in 3rd world countries, but all of them are replacable for free within 3 years. The major problem with them are their prices. They are WAY too high.
For what its worth I'm sporting a pair of New Balances, And 1 kicks, and Nike sandals at the given moment.

i've always liked nike running shoes. found them to be some of the most comfortable i've worn.

i've had a couple pairs of reebok running shoes -- one was one of my best shoes ever, the others sucked SO bad

never had new balance, although i currently have a pair of adidas. they're ok, but not super comfortable. they gave me horrible blisters a few weeks ago when i was playing basketball though :(

Nike are comfortable. Pricey (cuz of guys like MJ and Carter getting multimillion dollar contracts). Durability though, it think they are ok. However, their designs are get uglier and uglier every year. I haven't bought a pair of Nikes in over 3 years.

I'm not bashing Nike, cuz I only wear Nikes. But they need to come up with better looking shoes. I do like the new Carters though. But I'm not shelling out 150 bucks for shoes.
