Okay, I was wondering what will work best for reception and speed. Will a usb wi-fi adapter get better reception but be slower being its on the usb bus? If so then will a pci work faster but not get a better reception? What models are recommended? BTW, I'm going to put it in my lil ol' box for when I use it with the tv, I don't feel like wiring out some cat5 to it, too much work.

Man i just did a ten page paper on this junk...
It all depends on what standard you are going by. the 802.11a standard quotes up to 76 Mbps when using its turbo mode. I don't remeber the speed os USB off the top of my head so if USB is faster than that your in the clear zone. However 76Mbps will never be reached because of the other data sent with every chip dah dah dah. I think real world is really about 22Mbps.
The mainstream 802.11b standard allows for 11Mbps but again real work is alot less. its 1:32 on the east coast, ill get back to you with good models when i can remeber my name.
