What is the best brand of blank cd's? Are they the Kodak Golds or are they the Mitsui's? Do they sell them in 50 packs or 100 packs for cheap price?

I am all about TDKs. I have been using them forever it seems, and I have never had a problem with them. They have a guarantee about their cds, just to show that they stand behind them. They are a bit pricy, but what can you do.

Kodak golds are awesome, but pricey. Unless you really need your data to be accessible/stable for hundreds of years, skip em. You can find cheaper discs than those that will work just fine for storage and burning music.
I like Imations and Maxells myself - they're not too pricey and have never given me any problems. I got an Imation 50-pack a while back for $19. Also if it helps any, my friend has had a hell of a time with the cheap discs that are sold in 50-packs wrapped only with plastic (no spindle) at CompUSA. He's literally made 3 good discs out of like 10. Avoid them at all costs, despite their tempting prices.
Just my $.02

hi all,
in my opinion the best of the best cd blank media are either Taiyo Yuden or Mitsui. Mitsui is real good because of it's diamond coating to protect data layer. In terms of generic CDRs (no logo), i use them all the time but the thing to keep in mind when buying generic CDRs is who it is manufactured by and what grade it is. ALWAYS buy "A" grade! in terms of manufacturers, i personally find Princo, Ritek, Prodisc, and Gigastorage very good quality. Good quality meaning it plays on almost everything. In terms of recording they all record 100% for me. a good online source to check get good quality CDRs... www.qtccdr.com (http://www.qtccdr.com)

So where can I find the Kodak Gold Ultimas or the Mitsuis in 50 packs or 100 pack for decent price? I'm willing to pay a 1 for each one.

I wished some place had kodak golds for cheap...they're really awesome. But I probably wouldn't pay more than $0.75/cd myself for em...I like my $0.54 verbatims I picked up the other day from OD...I was too lazy to send that rebate out, the "rules" on the rebate said it had to be postmarked at most a week after your purchase...sheesh, that's pretty strict for $3.
