OK, I just got the email from altavista.com explaining the computer glitch over the weekend and awarding me with 1,000pts. I decided to click the link at the bottom of the email to see if I won the daily contest today (July 7) to my utter astonishment it said I was a winner! Now, am I excited for a good reason or is it just the glitch all over?

I got the email saying they gave me 1000 points too, and the email said their site is now fixed. they had a link in the email for you to click to try and win again, I clicked it and it said I won too. anybody else? I'm still thinking their site is farked up.

Congrats bandit...you made off with $2.50. Haha just kidding, but making the point that the 1000 pts they're giving all of us really isnt that much ($1) and will probably never amount to anything (because it takes a long time to accumulate points through that program).

For amazon gc's, I recommend giantrewards.com - if you're "clever", you can find the appropriate means to accumulate a lot of points (and gc's). Although I do not condone the use of any such point accumulation means.
