I just got cable internet on tuseday the 30th of April. Now I seem to be getting frustrated. I'm trying to search with Morpheus and it doesn't want to show me results. I'm not doing any thing else but my modem activity seems to be going none stop. Whats up with that? Is there any programs that can tell me what my modem is doing? Or what it is receiving or sending? Please help its pissing me off.

:stupid:

Same thing happened to me. Morpheus didn't like running over my "LAN" instead of an "internet" connection

I can't offer any solutions. When I was still using Morpheus PE, it would actually connect to a few servers. You can set upto how many servers you want to connect to. I put it at some whacky number like 75 or so. For the morpheus client to connect to all those servers, it took up like 3k/sec bandwith from my DSL. It didn't connect to a majority of the servers. It did cause lots of traffic. When searching, I'd still get results, though very few. I was quite unsatisfied with their software for other reasons as well.

Like chosen said, try kazaa lite, its identical to the old Morpheus. I believe the sites are www.refosearch.tk or www.kazaalite.tk . And be sure to use ad-aware to remove any other spyware on your system before you install Kazaa Lite.

I seem to have a little bit of activity on mine all of the time. That started after one of those viruses ran through the Roadrunner network.

As long as there is no activity on the switch if I am not downloading or transferring files, then that means my firewall is keeping all the virii out.

/me pats my router/firewall. ;)

BTW: what service do you have?

For spyware-free clients (some hacked from Kazaa and limewire)
try:

www.cleanclients.tk
www.unitethecows.com
