I've had the Rave MP2200 Player for about 1.5-2 years (got a great deal from this site). My question relates to the SmartMedia card upgrade slot. All the reviews I have seen on it say that the player comes stock with 64mb of memory and is upgradeable to 128mb. However, all the reviews that I looked at were circa 2000 before the 128mb cards were available.
Has anyone tried a 128mb card in this player? What were the results? I'm looking to beef mine up and want to know if it will even recognize the 128mb card before I fork out the cash.
Thanks!

I was under the impression that the max you could put in it was 128 although i'm not sure. The manuals never clarified. I suggest going to best buy, getting 128 megs and testing it first. Either way you can return it in 30 days. I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this too

Thanks for the confirmation hapoo. That was my initial thought for a risk-free experiment. I'll let you know what comes of it.

For all who were curious about this one. Here is the official word from the company...

Thank you for contacting Sonicblue.

The largest memory card supported is the 64mb card.

Thank you,
