View Full Version : S: D in Computer Science
I AM SOO PISSED OFF. I got a D in computer science. My freaking TA lost my homework and said I never turned it in. I handed it to her personally and made sure she got it. She claims I never turned it in. It was just a hardcopy of the program I turned in electronically. Why would I not turn in the hard copy if they got the program online. So now I received a D for the entier semester. I have no Idea what it's going to do to my GPA (3.6) but it's going to knock it out of the 3.5 range i'm pretty damn sure. I've already tried to dispute it, it's a no-go. I have to take the class either in summer school now or next semester with a new professor that has reviews of being "possibly the professor in the computer science department."

dude that sucks, i know i'm stating the obvious but i feel ya, we need at least a C for the class to even count... i got a C last semester because the teacher was a bitch, and majorly disliked me, the feeling was mutual, and it killed my GPA from 3.76 to 3.4 :(

man, i am beginning to feel stupid with my 3.0 gpa.
why can't you dispute it? who did you talk to? just the teacher? if that's so, go to the department head and complain.

Sorry to hear about that. Our teacher decided to put due dates on all of our assignments this semester and load us down with on average of 4 or so programs a week. Went from an A- to A+ first semester to a C-/D+. I see where you are coming from.

It's complete b.s. that we get tons of assignments per week and half the time he doesnt even explain what to do with them. Pointless class, I dont suggest taking it. Either that or our teacher just sucks.

I just cant get over how stupid he really is when it concerns anything aside from math. When you ask a simple question as to how to do a certain part of a program, he basically calls you stupid and his breath smelling of coffee is enough to kill someone. It dropped my GPA quite a bit. Was holding a nice 3.4, that went down the drain. I am ready to lash out. Once I graduate...its paintball season

See UT... that's what you get for ignoring the TA's sexual advances!
:P
The apprpriate response involves a hammer, a trunk, a boat, some rope and some weights.
You figure it out.:hmm:

File a complaint with the Dean. Seriously, do it. Normally, you have one year to get grades changed before they are irreversible.
