I've re-done my older PC parts and it uses a V3-3000 card with Win2K, plenty of power (ram, etc), Win2K V3 drivers, and the game runs great after installed fresh from the cd but when I patch the game to a newer version (1.29, 1.30 or the latest 1.31), the game starts (blue start-up screen) but then all I get is a dark screen (no sound either) and the only way I can get out of it is to reset the PC as not even a 3 finger solute works.
Any ideas? The game has previously worked fine before with the same parts and the patches havent caused me trouble on my other PCs, just this one.
The game runs flawlessly on the original install version using the cd in its drive.
