I need to print invoices on the go directly from my PDA. Is my only option to buy an IRDA portable printer? Problem is, costs upwards of 30 cents per page on the two printers that are good enough for my purposes. Is there a printer where I can dock my PDA and print? Or can I get an IRDA adapter for my old laserjet? Appreciate any help, may send you some beer :)

i havent heard of a printer where you can dock a handheld into it to print. but you can get software which can be used to print to an ir port on a printer. off the top of my head i can think of print boy and palm print. i think that some can also via syncing but im not sure which ones. printing with your palm can be tricky. make sure the program you choose can print from the programs you want it to print from. some can only print from certain programs, usually those which are made from the same developer. also some require special drivers for printers and not all printers are supported. do some research on palm gear (http://www.palmgear.com), or palm sites like palm infocenter (http://www.palminfocenter.com) or pdabuzz (http://www.pdabuzz.com). it really can get complicated, one reason why i never really got a printing prog for my palm.

EDIT: Woohoo! I think the QuickSuite has everything I need. Found at PalmGear. Thanks TommyBoomfiger.

Yeah, I found a program that prints certain stuff, and another program that can view and edit excel files, but I can't get the programs to work together to print the excel file. :(
Since the Pocket PC from Microsloth has native excel support, can it print from excel? I can't find any good info on the Pocket PC operating system, just stupid PR from Microcrap.

Unfortunately, the PocketPC OS (both 2000 and 2002) does not have built-in print capabilities. As you've discovered, there are a few of third-party applications that resolve this shortcoming.
