I'm cutting PentiumPro heatsinks into small pieces, making RAM heatsinks. I'm taking care to leave the smooth, flat underside intact. What have ppl found works the best for gluing them onto the memory?
BTW: I've been able to OC my Radeon's core to 201, but can only get my memory to 195. I hope with RAM heatsinks, I can run both CPU and memory cool at 193-195.

Use some kind of thermal pads!

will those hold the RAM in place?
I think Arctic Silver glue would work best.

arctic adhesive it comes in 2 tubes and you have to mix it. better than pads but its 4-EVER! very hard to remove w/out damaging the chip. be careful and use a very thin layer just enough to cover the chip.
good luck

ps: its kinda expensive like $12.

You want thermal Adhesive like Arctiv Alumina or Arctic Silver Thermal Paste

...so it looks like artic silver is the best bet so far. Where should I buy this stuff? I've dealt with very few places that offer customization and OC supplies.
I've ordered from http://www.plycon.com a few times. Never had a problem.

If you get the Arctic Silver epoxy, mix 50% regular Artic Silver thermal compound into the mixture to avoid the permanent nature of the adhesive. :)

I just ordered some arctec glue from SVC and picked up some fans to replace the fans in my PS's. The prices on these quiet fans is SOOO much lower than what I paid for when I originally modded my case two years ago.
