Yes, I read about the 3 Monitor Support. Sounds awesome, but I don't think it's something i'd ever do. CS wouldn't be able to use the 3 monitors, I dont' think the Half Life engine supports it. Quake3 Engine supports it so any game based on that should be able to use it. I hope the card is as bad ass in use as it is in text. Maybe i'll get it for my new putie this summer :)

I thin Matrox can compete. They were a big player with one of the best voodoo cards. They had 6MB of memory instead of 4, my friend has that one (no, he is not still using it). :) They have had time to cop... err research new things since they were big in 3d.

Ahhhh, multiple monitor support that will actually work.

Damn this Radeon 7500 that reboots my computer everytime I switch from dual display (used for general computing) to single display used for watching full screen video) :woo:

Umm, Matrox always produced their own chips -- they never used chipsets from other vendors (like 3Dfx). Also, the only chip they made that was half decent for 3D was the G400 MAX -- and even that had some issues in terms of OpenGL performance.

I'm hoping that the Parhelia does well though. :)

I just hope Nvidia and AMD can get off of their butts in a hurry. That way, this Matrox card won't be sitting at $400 for long! :P

All three monitors would not be fully-3D-accelerated, would they? Would that be possible? Maybe at 20 FPS...

do not forget that drivers have ALOT to do with hardware performance...also let us not forget that while nvidia and Ati have chips in the works for fall matrox probably does not ;-\
