I mean without a nap or sleep. Perhaps a brief state of dementia is ok. :D Why did you stay up so long? Mine is about 3 days. Finals in college
3 days... partyin' minus alcohol, but full off Xtc, speed, caffeine and cigs.... i slept for the 4th day....

Somewhere between 70-80 hours. I don't remember how many because I don't recall falling asleep.
I just remember waking up in my car in the driveway, with no recollection of how I got there.

the better part of 4 days. Was right at graduation. Camped out the night before, then all night party, then more partys... Was really weird feeling at the end. When I was looking at somethin, I could focus on it for a second or so, then it would slowly fade to gray. Was pretty cool, but I decided I should go to bed then... =)

One of my friends has stayed awake for 8 days without sleep, but he is a freak. He only needs about 2 hours of sleep to be fully functional the next day, and he often goes 3+ days in a row without sleep. And he doesn't really have anything to do. :disa:

~75 hours.
Midterms, international flight, wedding.
I stayed up two days studying for a midterm, took the exam, then hurried home so we could get to the airport on time. Boarded the flight and was ready to sleep, but something was wrong with the circulation, and it was a good 95 degrees in the back of the plane ... way too uncomfortable to sleep.
Arrived in Europe at 8am the next day, and wanted to avoid jet lag so stayed awake ALLLLL DAY. I finally gave up around 8pm and zonked out for 30 minutes, before the bride and groom showed up to chat until midnight. Boy, was I grumpy. :P

I have actually never stayed awake a full day. The longest in my guess is probably about 19 hours.

I guess I can clock in at 50 hours. I went to prom... was up until the wee hours of the morning, then had to get ready for my sister's wedding... and partied into the wee hours of the morning again.

You just wait till you get to college or start taking speed. Whichever comes first.

60 hours. I went to 2 raves and went to work 3 times, then went to a family dinner. Nowadays I'm awake for about 12-14 hours a day. How sad is that?

i'd say the longest i've stayed up is maybe 40-55 hrs.. not sure, it was prolly a few years ago..
one time i stayed up like 2 or 3 straight nights.. Win95 was just being released.. was preparing the store for a huge rush of people.. heh, even remember going to behind Egghead getting their empty boxes to use as displays, so people wouldn't steal the actual products.

I can think of one occasion where I was up for around 50 hours. There was a guy in me and hoey's dorm my freshman year in college who tried to stay awake for a week because he wanted to "see what it was like". I think he made it almost 4 days then slept for about 20 hours.

My longest time awake had to be 3.75 days. (I didnt quite make it, but was damn close to a full 4 days awake.) I was staying up to cram for a bunch of finals and when it was over I couldnt sleep because I was too wired.
After a bit I decided that I was so close to being awake for 4 straight days that I figured why not go for it. So I sat down on my couch and started watching some TV....thats all she wrote. I must of passed out because the next thing I know is that my roommate is shaking me asking me why I am wasting electricity. It was something like 6 hours later or so, he had been at work. I turned off everything and went upstairs and passed out till the next day.
One of my buddies who went to Swarthmore and is now at Berkeley routinely stays up for 3 days takes a nap for an hour and then goes another couple of days. (He is working in the physics lab and grading papers) I dont know how he does it, he is just an animal.

Six and a half day, then passed out. Not for anything useful, just because of a bet. The record is 11 days. Unfortunately, I didn't break it. :(

i think my longest consecutive is around 38 hours. it was my last week of college, and i had this insanely complicated advertising group project to do with an insanely stupid group. being a procrastinator, plus having to do most of the heavy lifting for the project myself, we ended up working for about 24 hours straight (from 12:30 pm sunday to 12:30 pm monday. in that time, i took maybe 1.5 hours worth of breaks).
so i was up from about 7 am on a sunday until 9 pm the next night. i worked so hard that when i finally got home the next night, i just sat down on the couch and slept till the next morning.
usually, even if i'm up the whole night, i'll take a 1 hour nap around 2:30 am -- that gives me enough strength to be thinking well enough to work. less sleep then that and i end up being fairly unproductive.

but yeah, hearing about all you guys saying how weirdly dimented your mind gets - man, brings back good memories :P
I love that feeling - if you don't get your REM cycles - you start dreaming while you're awake.... - cool stuff :)

Man... I didn't even last 8 days. However, I didn't start hallucinating. My mind, however, was quite gone. That and I couldn't do anything that required any amount of coordination to save my life. :)
