1. past:

howard hughes when he was stranded on the freeway, i'd ask if he needed a ride. then i'd suggest getting some pretty good documentation that i was in his will. publicity wouldn't hurt, either.

2. present:

gwen stefani...i'd ask her if she really thinks that guitarist guy is working out for her...and if she's considered getting a new one *hint, hint* :deal:

3. future:

i'd like to meet just about any authority on sports and ask some key questions regarding the winners of certain sports events for the next 10 or so years (of my lifetime).

Well it depends on a couple of things.

First off, would meeting these people and having interactions with them result in changes to the world? I mean if I said, I would like to meet X and then I killed X, would it change the present?

Second, assuming that we could interact with them, what is it limited to...is it only talking or could we say dispose of them?

So assuming that I could talk with the person but it would not change the future:

Past: My Grandfather...he died a year before I was born and from what everyone says was a very interesting person. I would really like to find out about his life because there is a bunch of stuff that the government wont release yet.

Present: Its a split between Kevin Smith, who seems to be extremely interesting and Yassir Arafat, who I would put down like the dog that he is! (yes, I dont care if this changes the future because it can only be better without him)

Future: I would like to meet the person who assinated Arafat.:D

Now assuming that I could talk and interact with the person and although it would change the present it would leave my life alone.

Past: Adolf Hitler - I would eliminate him with extreme prejudice.
Present and Future would be changed so I cant predict who I would want to talk to.

its impossible to know how your actions in the past (or present for that matter) will effect the future ufcrusher, you may end up causing something worse.

1. It would be cool to Jesus in person! :) But if that is not a valid option...I would want to meet Beethoven.

2. John Williams...he's awesome

3. I agree with OC....it would be cool to meet myself...but then I would cause the universe to explode according to Doc Brown...:)

From the past it is a toss up between Alexander the Great - Ceasar - Gen. Douglas McCarthur - Babe Ruth (now that guy partied hard).

From the present - Stephen Hawking - the Pope - the Dali Lama - The Playmate of the Year

In the future I'd love to meet Capt. Kirk (provided of course that I'm NOT wearing a red shirt)

beethoven would be interesting to meet. would you wanna meet the beethoven as portrayed by gary oldman, or john belushi :hihi:

Can we take the person we meet in the present with us to the past? If so, then I pick Bill Clinton and Abe Lincoln.

"Mr. Lincoln, I would appreciate it if you'd stay here and talk with me. Bill, why don't you go have a nice evening at the theater..."

Because when Jesus comes back he'll probably be pretty pissed a the mess we've made of things.

what did he do?
or are you going to have to kill us after telling us?

anyways,
if this was to meet them to have a deep, inspirational conversation with....
my answers to all 3 would be Jesus..
but after Him....
1) Paul(of the new testament variety)
2) errr, boy this is tough.... Billy Graham
3) my wife :) - then I'll know who to chase after :)

Yes, I am Jewish, but a lot of people here probably already know that.

Honestly I wasnt fishing for interest in my grandfather, he is just someone who I would have liked to meet. But since you asked here are some of the more noteworthy things:

Created the idea of the ARCO go patrol - which to put it simply was the predecessor to the lovely helicopter overflights giving traffic reports.

Was purportedly in the CIA although we can not get any confirmation of this. The government told us that his file is still sealed, although I thought that it was supposed to be unsealed after 25 years.

Went to Austria and Germany as a spy for the US during the war. One of the first to witness concentration camps, liberated the camps, and also located my great grandfather (his father) who was intered in a camp.

Was the only telecommunications engineer that Israel would allow in to work on their systems when israel was first formed.

Was constantly being sent away and wherever he was sent all hell broke loose. (That is according to everyone who was alive then). Most of the time he couldnt even say where he was being sent.

Well I am sure that was not what anyone expected, but you asked so I answered.

Wow ufcrusher, I bet your grandpa would have some good stories to tell!

Who would I meet? Future: My great grandkids. Past: My Great-Great grandparents, so I could tell then NOT to sell their homestead in Jackson Hole! I don't know who to meet in the present, I guess all my online friends.

Well at least if you meet bill clinton you also get to meet a nice intern or two as well.

Past: Myself, I would bring back a bunch of cheap electronics (or something of that sort) and go back to when I could get a lot for them. Then, I would take that money and invest in microsoft, (heck, set up an automatic buy in aff for just when it got out and sell, just before it plateaus.

Future: Myself, so that I could take that money and buy some really cool gizmo's to bring back to the present.

Present: sell the gizmo's that I got from the future, become super rich and then I can see whoever else I want. :D
