whats the best deals on mins, and on a phone itself. its mainly going to be used for long distance... im not to savvy on this topic so i might as well ask you guys :D

why are some people so adament against cell phones? i find mine useful. i wish i could get rid of the phone line at my apmt, but we need it for DSL.

considering the long distance bills have been more then the cost of a cell phone, its worth it.

What area do you live in? Here's a list of the nationwide carriers. There may be a regional/rural carrier in your area (i.e. Suncom, US Cellular, Qwest, etc).

Currently I'm with Cingular, on a family plan thing with a free Ericsson T28z phone. No complaints, my calls don't drop, except when in my room there's this one spot on my nightstand that gets reception. It really depends on your area though, and you have to go shop around.
