I was going to watch it last night but had to drive back home at the last minute for an interview at 8:00 AM the next morning.

I liked it a lot. Had some low points but it really did feel like the magic is back. Go see as soon as you get a chance.

Or in Siskel & Ebert Speak = :thumb:

I saw it and can't wait to see the er rip I mean the film at the theater again. It will build its own hype and subsequent business. I actually think george made up the negative hype so the movie would become sucsessful from its own hype not Star Wars Hype. Thinking of it I can't see why anyone would say it was the worst. Natalie Portman > Carrie Fisher. Need I say more?

yea, yoda kicks major arse...when he had his scene, everybody in the theatre was cheering. good stuff. i really liked the fact that lucas tied a lot of things from the previous star wars. i had to sit there and explain a lot of the things to my GF...it was cool. i had a fun time.

I thought yoda was going to unleash Kung Fu on that fool's ass when He was posing with his two hands in front of him. I'm trying to buy the new Yoda figure with a saber, but it's sold out everywhere!

whing, crying, and some CG. more whining, more crying, and some more CG, then about an hour of CG, then more crying, some more crying, then whining then some CG.

1.any one ever notice that 4-6 everything is a human problem and all these lame species have NOTHING to do with the whole galaxy's control, but in 1-2 a bunch of lamer species have "equal" control.

2.also is jar-jar gay?, if he isnt, how?
3.also jenga fett is lame. so is boba.
4.yoda seen would have been better if he were still a muppet
5.star wars "for the whole family" isnt a good thing.

:hmm: I didn't have to explain anything to my GF, and she hadn't even seen Episode I.

Oh, and Xsiled2, I think Jango Fett was one of the better characters...

It also gives a lot more background to Boba's character in the other movies.

The reason behind this is simple. In the old days everyone had an equal voice no matter how cartoony you look. Then when the Emperor gets control he puts them all off to the side. Similiar to what Hitler wanted to do by getting rid of all but his master race.

ya so you had a background for the 2 lines he had in total.... ya thats a plenty good reason to include the lamer.

Luke Skywalker could control you haters with the old jedi mind trick. It works on the weak :P.

If whining runs in the family than how do you explain Vader. The best bad guy of all time.
Did you like how Anakin used that trick on Pad? "You do like me."
and bam she's in love. Good going Anakin "thats Lord Vader to you" Skywalker.*

George heard all the criticism it seems. More about the struggle, less cutesy bs and where'd all the racial stereotypes go? Jar jar(aka: the big mistake from e1) barely spoke and one of the chancellors sounded less fu man chuish to me.

A+ definitely back on track.

*my version may be different from yours :)

If Darth Tyranus & Darth Sidious were the one who initially set up the "clone army", then why on Earth did he let the Republic close the deal on putting them into service. That was WEIRD!!! they forgot about them

Palpatine IS the Republic. Their whole objective was to start a war. And to do that you need two armies. Palpatine started the conflict to consolidate his own power. Basically he tricked them into giving him absolute authority and then whipped out his secret army. The thing to remember is that the Republic never really falls but rather degenerates into the Empire (explains why all the ships of the Republic have the Imperial logo on them)

You are supposed to know who Chancellor Palpatine (sp?) and Darth Sidious are...

Yes... we ALL know that. But in watchin' the movie, you are supposed to let the characters play out their roles... and right now, Darth Sidious has yet to be "revealed".

I was only commenting on the crafty way of how he "snuck" the power from the Senate. A true lawyer/politician I tell ya. :2far:

haha, oh, okay...

Well, personally, I think Lucas based his character atleast partly on Hitler... so the pieces fit.
