my local red lobster really sucks. I'd not go there unless my friends want to. It's been 4 years and their food is terrible and price is ridiculous. For that amount of money, I'd rather go to some seafood restaurant at Santa Monica.

True that... the price for 6 of us to eat with nice appetizers was close to 115

So could your Girlfriend be called DFGF?

Anyways, I know what you mean. Last time I went there, it took them about 1 hour to seat us, and then it took another half hour to get a waiter to come over. 30 minutes after we ordered, we asked someone when our food was coming and they said soon. so we waited. 15 minutes later, we asked again and they said soon again. We left 20 minutes later without paying. drove over to wendy's and got something from there.

i've never tried Red Lobsters.. don't even know of one around here, though I know there is. Eh, I guess I'll hafta try that some time. But I hvae been to Red Robins.. that place taste good :)

Santa Monica.. hmm.. I think theres a Cheesecake factory there that i went to before.. There was this waitress named Dolores, i think.. she gave the best service.. the bill came to like $150 or so. We ended up giving her a 20-25% tip..

Red Lobster Cheese biscuits

biscuits
1 1/4 lbs bisquik
11 oz cold water

Garlic spread
1/2 cup melted butter

1/8 dried parsley
1 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp onion powder

1. To cold water, add bisquik and cheese, blending in a mixing bowl. Mix until firm.
2. Using a small scoop, place the dough on a baking pan lined with baking paper.
3. Bake at 3.75 degrees for 10-12 minute or until golden brown.
4. While biscuits are baking, combine spread ingredients.
5. Brush baked biscuits with the garlic topping.

I don't eat lobster. I was given a bite once, and was told it was the best lobster they'd ever had. All I tasted was the butter sauce they dipped it in. I also tried it without the butter. If I were to imagine replicated cubes of protein, that'd be it.

Anything will taste good dipped in butter, but I don't need to spend $25+ a plate to taste it.

I went to Maine couple times and without any doubt, they have the best lobster (freshest) I've ever tasted. In Cali, the best seafood IMO is at SF.

I like most of their food, their crab legs are yummy (no one can screw up crab legs).

But their biscuits.... aaaah.... so delish! They should market them.

Hey, I heard that the seafood sold at fishermans wharf aren't local. They were actually from east coast. Is that true?

Cheesecake factory is everywhere in so Cal. I'm not a big fan of them. However, next time when you visit Santa Monica, try Lobster at Ocean Ave. It locates at the entrance of Santa Monica Pier. Great view, great food, great wine, great atmosphere, and great service. If you are going on weekend, I'd strongly suggest you to do the reservation first. Last time I took my girl to dine there, cost me $250 plus some tips and valet parking. After the dinner you can walk to 3rd St. or have some fun time at club.

Be sure to try out their lobster pancake.

After you have almost 8000 posts, its not that easy to drop that average down. I think I'm slowly gaining on him ;) Shh, dont tell him tho!

Hmm, I'm not too sure about fisherman's wharf. I know some are fresh. There are some fishing areas around, including Half Moon Bay.

Cheesecake Factory, there is one here in downtown SF. But always overcrowded. But I'd just go to that specific one down in Santa Monica, just for the great service.

I'll be sure to try and remember those $$$ restaurants, once I win the lottery :)
