I found a hard drive without the black little jumpers which you use to set as "master or slave". Do you know where I can buy one or two? Thanks.

Do you have any old motherboards? There's usually some jumpers on most motherboards. I've probably got 20 or 30 sitting around (jumpers, not motherboards).
If you have to go to Radio Shack or some electronics store and pick some up.

Allright, I'll check Radio Shack.
Hoser, since you have so many jumpers sitting around, perhaps you could sell me 2? :)

I could send you some in an envelope if you need them. Can you wait for them to arrive or do you need them this minute? You can send me an e-mail if you want some sent to you.

Hoser,
It's very nice of you to offer this help. I greatly appreciate it. I don't need them in a hurry so just put them in the envolop (please seal it since they are quite small :)). My email address is

The jumpers will be in the mail tomorrow. I found over 50 jumpers without looking too hard. I'm sure I have more around the general area.

Do you have a computer store? :D

No, but I probably have enough computers and parts to open a small store. Everytime I upgrade one machine, the older parts trickle down to the others.
Currently I've got these computers:
Pentium 100
Celeron 500
Dual Celeron 500
Duron 750
Duron 1.0 GHZ
Thunderbird 1.3GHZ
I've got 16 hard drives with a little over 450GB of storage. I'm currently weeding out some of the smaller ones (<13GB) and replacing them with larger drives. Add to this all the video, network, sound, and misc. cards and I have enough items to fill a room.
The jumpers were sent in the mail this morning.

Hoser,
Thank! If you have any extra 20gb 7200rpm hard drive without bad sector for sale, let me know.
