needs a lot of work. they should have addressed some of the problems before sending out test samples. hopefully most/all is fixed by the time the card hits shelves. test were ran at 2 x's, 8 x's will be interesting(if they fix basic bugs).

Hopefully the compatibility problems can be worked out.

For a card supposed to compete against GF4 MX cards its big disappointment. The Xabre 400 gets slapped around by a GF4 MX440 videocard.

JFYI: The performance difference between AGP2X and AGP4X is miniscule. Don't count on AGP8X providing much of a performance increase.

correct me if im wrong. i read the agp 8 x's doubles the theoretical peak amount of data that can be transfered by todays 4 x's agp.
where current cards bottlenecks, the xabre would have twice the bandwidth(?).

AGP transfer rate is slow compared to local memory on videocard.
