Man, lots of work for a m100 palm. Maybe for the m125, but this is the low end, almost discontinued model.

It'd be worth it except for this:

"The suggested retail value of the Palm™ m100 handheld is $99.00 and will be reported as interest to you. "

Even the free car test drive offers don't do that to you.

Well if I had the $2500 sitting there long enough, I'd do this (stupid rent. . .), because I got the one from Infiniti and just kept it. . . but if I had two, I could return them both to best buy for a $200 store credit (actually, last time I checked they wanted $125 each for 'em), and get a Clie or similar. Even with just one, use it for $100 store credit and then pay the difference to get a nice one.

That means nothing, it just means on your checking statement they send you, it'll say [aka "report"] that you made X amount of interest PLUS $99 (for the free gift). It doesn't say you pay interest on it or anything.

If they report it as interest on your statement then at the end of the year you'll have to pay taxes on that "interest", won't you?

so all in all you end up paying about $33 for the M100 PLUS all that hassle moving around $2500 from bank to bank.

I just did the "what's my life worth by the hour test" and it's not worth an M100 for all that hassle AND the stupid tax.
