I thought I'de share this with the forums, though I have no idea why it happened...
I was running Word (XP) earlier today and while just doing some typing, the screen got funked up, much like what happens when the memory on my video board gets too hot-blue/pink/green boxes all over the screen. I immediately restarted the computer and opened the box, expecting to find really hot RAM heatsinks. Strange thing though...they were not hot at all - barely warmer than the surroundings. I ran 3DMark2001SE and it ran fine
Just in case I backed off my video RAM OCing a notch, but I'm still curious why it failed in Word and not 3DMark2001SE.
