I used to be able to print from my computer as recently as 2-3 weeks ago. Since then I moved to a bigger room in the house. When I try to print it says that the background printer monitor is not installed or working. I can't print out a test page but I can print out a print alignment page. Uninstalled the printer and reinstalled the printer again. Still no go.
The only thing I added recently was my new Ti 4200 video card. I don't see how this really interferes with the printer being "busted".
If it helps any my printer is the canon 8200 (discontinued but still supported).

your problem is windows. Your best bet would be to toss it out the window and go here http://apple.com/switch
You will have by far less problems.
:D
I would see if there are any updates to the printer driver from canon. My parents used to have a canon, and the software crapped out on them, but it never had any problems printing.

If I wanted to switch windows to a mac I'd go here
Mac OS instantly (http://www.yaromat.com/macos8/index.htm)
*warning* Don't freak out...not for the newbie, casual user.

that ones been around, too bad its only os 8, and you still have all the hardware incompatibilities of a intel/amd box.

Sigh...after installing the latest printer drivers I get the same error message. The BJ Background Monitor is not installed or working. I've double clicked the executable and it's a no go. I guess I'll remove my video card since that's when I started getting all these problems and try again.
Anyone else have any ideas that doesn't involve upgrading to a new OS?
