edit: ok, a customer says it works ok with cox. but then someone else said something about a bad time with the rebate deal....

edit 2: ok, i read a few more reviews and it seems that a few peeps had problems with them. i shudder to think about my cable going down :eek:

I have this modem. I've been using it with my Cox.net account for about 4 months now with out a single problem.

I paid $60 for mine and thought it was a good deal. Heck, if your paying Cox $15 a month for a rental modem, why wouldn't you buy this one???

BTW, I also did the MIR with them. I took a couple months, but I got it.
