Windtalkers

Went and saw Windtalkers last night... Pretty good movie. Very "Saving Private Ryan"/"Blackhawk Down" in intensity and gore factor. The storyline was good (no real love story:thumbup: ), lots of action and the special effects were good. The opening scene had everyone jump right out of their seats, my wife nearly had a heart attack. Just make sure you see it in a THX certified theater, the audio MAKES the movie. Did anyone else see it and what did you think?

i'm thinkin it's pretty much going to be expected that war movies from now on will have some of the "saving private ryan" gore. it set a new standard. i haven't seen windtalkers yet, but my roommate who saw it last night hated it.

I've been waiting for this movie since last summer, and it has definitely been worth the wait! :D

The storyline was interesting, there were lots of signature-Woo action scenes, and it's good brain food. Pay attention to the juxtaposition in relationships, and think of how YOU would have handled the situation.

Be sure to arrive on time, though, because as CynJon says, the opening action scene is intense! I squealed so loud I made the BF jump! :heh:
